Day 1: Arrive in Addis Ababa

Day 2: Drive from Addis Ababa to Awash National Park

After driving 46km you will have a short stop on Lake Hora then proceed your drive to awash park en-route you will stop at the small town of Metehara and visit different aquatic birds on Lake Beska. Overnight in the Lodge

Day 3: Full day game drive in the Park

it is the richest habitat for more than 245 species of birds. Of which Kore Bustard and Arabian Bustard are the most interesting ones. Day 1: Arrive in Addis Ababa

Day 2: Fly to Gondar 1:20 hours

Fly to Gondar which takes 1:20 hours after check in to the hotel then visit the medieval castles and churches. Overnight Hotel

Day 3: Drive to Sankaber (3250 m asl)
After breakfast, drive 100km to debark, where you will register before entering to the Semien Mountain National Park and have lunch in Debark. In the afternoon drive almost 30km to Michibi then you will start your hiking for almost 2 hours until the first camping site of Sankaber. Overnight Camp

Day 4: Trek from Sankaber to Gich (3600 m asl) 6:00 – 7:00 hours
You will follow the track eastward along a narrow ridge, with the escarpment to the north and Koba river valley to the south. After two hours trekking you reach Jinbar waterfalls, where a Jinbar river plunges over 80m high rock face in to Gich abyss. About 1:30 hours from the waterfalls, the path divide, keep left and drop into the valley, across Jinbar River, then steeply up through Gich village to reach Gich camp. Overnight Camp

Day 5: Trek from Gich - Imet Gogo – Saha -Kedadit and back to Gich 5:00 – 6:00 hours
On this day you will trek a loop on the breathtaking landscape of the national park. From Gich camp it’s one to two hours to the summit of Imet Gogo (3925masl) then an hour trek to Saha (3785m asl) after an hour and half trek you reach Kedadit then trek back to Gich. Overnight at Camp site at Gich

Day 6: Trek from Gich to Chennek (3620m asl) 7:00 – 8:00 hours
Follow the track east words steeply down and up, you pass other major peaks on the way such as Sheyno sefer (3962m asl) and Inatye (4070m asl). It’s also a good area to see Lammergar and the rear Ethiopian wolf. Overnight Camp

Day 7: Trek from Chennek to Ambico (3200m asl) 8:00 -9:00 hours
After two hours, while trekking from Chennek you reach Bawit Pass (4200m asl), it is a view point to see the vast valley of the Mesheha river and its tributaries and you get your first sighting of Ras Dejen then the path drops steeply down passing through the village of Chero Leba to reach Mesheha River, across the river the path steeply up through Ambico village to reach Ambico camp. Overnight Camp

Day 8: Trek from Ambico to Ras Dashen summit (4533m asl) 8:00 – 9:00 hours
From Ambico continue up the valley to reach the small village of Mizma (3500m asl) then follow the path to east words and head towards Ras Dejen rock west face, visible at the head of the valley, about 4 hours trek from Ambico, you pass through a gap in an old stone wall, then swing left up a broad ridge to enter a wide semicircular corrie for almost an hour and half till the base of the summit then 15minuts scrambling to the peak. And return the same path to Ambico. Overnight Camp

Day 9: Trek from Ambico to Sona 6:00 – 7:00 hours
Trek back to Meshea River then the path divide; keep right and you will pass on the way different small Amhara villages. Overnight Camp

Day 10: Trek from Sona to Mekarebiya 5:00 – 6:00 hours
The Zigzags track  steeply down almost 1000m till Ansiya River, it is possible to take bath in the river, across Ansiya River you will trek three to four hours crossing several streams to reach Mekarebiya camp. It’s also good area to see different flowers. Overnight Camp

Day 11: Trek Mekarebiya to Mulit 7:00 – 8:00 hours
You will follow the track westward along a narrow ridge. After two hours trek you will reah at Derek Winze, across Derek Winze the path steeply up through Hawaza village to reach Mulit camp, it is possibly one of the most spectacular place in the simian national park. Overnight Camp

Day 12: Short trekking from Mulit to Adiarkaye 2:00 – 3:00 hours
Heading west from Mulit, you leave the national park and the path slowly down to Adiarkaye; and meet the vehicles then drive back to Gondar en route visit Felasha or Black Jew village. Overnight Hotel

Day 13: Fly back to Addis Ababa

In the evening enjoy a traditional farewell dinner with Ethiopian cultural music and dancing presentations. Overnight Hotel or Departure

Day 3: Drive to the 2nd and 3rd churches

Day 1: Drive 321km from Addis Ababa Dodola then start riding to Changiti 11km(2 hours)

Early morning after breakfast drive to Dodola, (410 Km from Addis). Enroute, you will make a stop on Awash River and Lake Ziway (best known for its bird life) to visit aquatic birds. You will have lunch at Shashmene (250 Km from Addis). You will proceed driving and arrive in Dodola late afternoon.
Upon arrival, you will check into a hotel and do all the requirements for trekking at the Adaba -Dodola Community Tourism Trekking at GTZ office and facilitate arrangements. Later, you will prepare the necessary logistics for your trekking. In the evening, you will have dinner and stay the night at the hotel. Overnight stay in Local Hotel Dodola. Overnight lodge or camping

Day 2: Ride from Changiti to Angafu 13km (3:00–4:00 hours)

You will have an early breakfast and drive to Changiti (2750 meter above sea level, 10km from Dodola. Here you start trekking to Wahoro on the trail that follows the Lensho River. Upon arrival you will make short trek around Wahoro to visit the impressive rock formation of Wahoro. You will have packed lunch in the bush and continue to Angafu, the way leads through forest or moorlands with heather. Between Tulu Gedemsa (3640 m a.s.l.) and Gama Hugicho (3713 m a.s.l), the vegetation starts being dominated by giant lobelias and thistles. All in all you may need about 5 hours for just less than 10 km. You will have packed lunch in the bush. In the evening, you will spend the night at the camp site. Overnight stay camping at Angafu (3460 meter above sea level).

Day 3: Ride from Angafu to Mololicho 17kms(4:00–5:00 hours)

After breakfast continue trekking to Adele by crossing Hagenia and Hypericum forests, fields of lobelias and torch lilies, and passing caves, the 9-km tour may take you about 4 hours. Over the first section, the trail follows a mountain ridge with views to the volcano shaped Mount Kaka (4100 m a.s.l.) and Mount Honkolo (3900 m a.s.l.) in Arsi on the other side of the Adaba-Dodola plain. You will cross heather moorland, Erica and Hagenia forests and wooded pastures until you reach Adele. Look out for Guereza monkeys in the huge Hagenia trees directly around the hut and appreciate the peaceful silence, the warbling of birds, the drilling of insects or rustling of grazing animals. You will have packed lunch in the bush then continue trekking to Mololicho. The way from Adele to Mololicho is long but beautiful (18 km). First it follows a mountain valley, then a mountain ridge, from where you can see down to the reservoir of WabeShebele. Lobelias and torch lilies are plentiful along the route. Overnight stay camping at Mololicho.

Day 4: Ride from Mololicho to Duro 18km(3:00 – 4:00 hours)

After breakfast, you will continue trekking full day to Duro 2680 m a.s.l. The km tour from Mololicho to Duro covers the longest distance between Adaba-Dodola trekking camps. From the Duro forest camp. You will have packed lunch in the bush. In the evening, you will spend the night at camp site. Overnight stay camping at Duro. Overnight camping

Day 5: Ride from Duro to Adaba 20km(5:00 – 6:00 hours)

Meet your vehicle and drive back to Addis Ababa.

National museum 

National museum is home to the hominid fossil remain of 'Lucy' the cradle of mankind. The female fossilized skeleton found in northeast part of Ethiopia in 1974, believed to be about 3.4 million years old, Ardi 4.4 million years old, Selam 3.5 million years old discovered by an Ethiopian Archeologist and named her after his wife (Selam). The museum has an extensive collection of artifacts, some pre-historic of Axumite civilization.

Ethnological museum

Ethnological museum is located within Haile Selassie’s former Royal palace and surrounded by the beautiful garden and fountains. Being used as Addis Abeba University’s main campus and as enthralling Ethnological Museum.

Entoto Hill

Entoto is the mountain range that rises to the north of Addis Abeba and is easily accessible from the city. This is where King Menelik started building his first capital city and the Church of Entoto Mariam where he was crowned. The top of the hill offers stunning and panoramic view of Addis Abeba.

Selassie Church Holy Trinity Cathedral

Holy Trinity cathedral was once the largest Ethiopia orthodox cathedral and the burial place of Emperor Haile Selassie and Empress Menen, late Prime mister Meles Zenawi, Sylvia Pankhurst alongside many well-known Ethiopian and patriots from the Italian occupation.

Merkato is located in western part of Addis Abeba and is one of the largest open air market in Africa; offering an array of Colors, Aromas, Costumes, Products, Jewelries and many more. In Merkato virtually every possible commodity is on sale. There is a place called Merkato district Menalesh Tera local name), materials from every corner of the city will be brought to this place to be recycled for sale and to be used again.

Red terror Martyrs Memorial Museum

The "Red Terror" Martyrs' Memorial Museum in Addis Abeba was established in 2010 as a memorial to the victims of the Red Terror under the Derg regime. In the museum various torturing instruments are displayed. In addition, original skulls and bones, coffins, bloody clothes, and photographs of victims are exhibited. The museum also features pictorial history of the red terror.

 

Konso

When you see Women wearing colorful double- layered skirts and men in blue and white stripped shorts, you are in Konso territory. The rougly quarter million Konso people are spread across 42 villages, most on hilltops and surrounded high stone walls- built centuries ago as a defenses against outsiders and even marauders from other Konso villages.

Harar

Harar was formally found in 1520 when Amir Abu Beker Mohammed moved his capital from an older settlement nearby. The Amir was assassinated five years later by Ahmed Ibn Ibrahim al-Ghazi (Ahmed Gragn the left handed) who launched Jihad war against Christian empire in 1530-32 through his death in1543.After his death a war impoverished Harar was isolated by the advance of the Oromo tribes leading Gragn’s nephew and successor, Nur ibn al – Wazir Mujahid, to erect strong encircling walls which remain as a dominant features of the city.

Debre Damo

The ancient monastery of Debre Damo, dating back to the early Axumite era and is said to be oldest existing intact church in its original style in Ethiopia, Is found about 80 kilometers from the city of Axum. Tradition has it that the monastery was found by one of the saints of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, Abune Aregawi one of the nine Saints, in the six century.

Hamer

The Hamer are renowned throughout Ethiopia and beyond. The tribe, whose population numbers around 45,000 are agro-pastoralists. They focus primarily on raising cattle but also on cultivating Sorghum, millet, tobacco, and honey. Both women and men striking to behold. A woman, who usually twists their hair in to red tresses using mud and butter, often wear leather skirts dotted with cowry shells, bead necklaces, and copper bracelets. Men who killed an enemy or large animal in the past year wear their hair in buns.
