Day 1: Addis Ababa
Transfer from the airport, and settle in to your hotel. ( city tour depends on your arrival time ) Relax this morning before visiting the National Archaeological Museum and meeting its famous guest, Lucy, whose 3.4 million-year-old bones may be viewed in replica. Day 2: Lalibela
Morning flight to Lalibela (Registered as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978) after having breakfast which is famous for its rock hewn churches such as Bete Mariam, Bete Giorgis, Bete Michael dating back 800 years. This is the most important stop from the historic route of these 11 churches, carved into the rugged mountain side present an awesome spectacular view. Then continue journey long and marvelous history a visit to other St. Lalibela remarkable churches. Day 3: Drive to the 2nd and 3rd churches
Afternoon continue to visit long journey and marvelous history a visit to other the 2nd and 3rd churches of St. Lalibela remarkable churches church Yemerhana Christos/Naktolaab/Ashete Mariam by mule and fly out to Addis Ababa.
Day 4: Morning flight to Axum
Morning after breakfast transfer out fly to Axum (UNESCO World Heritage Site by 1980) and visit monolithic stelae/obelisks, the tombs of King Kaleb which is 6th century ruler, the legendary Bath and the ruins of ancient palace of the Queen of Sheba, After having lunch and refresh at your hotel, Excursion to the south stelae compound, visit Archeological museum, remains Tomb mausoleum, Monastery and painting, famous inscription of Ezana which is written in three language(Greek, Sabbean, Geez), chapel in the middle of St Mary of Zion and Emperor Fasilidas Castle of Axum St Mary of Zion and the sanctuary that houses the original Ark of the Covenant Overnight O/N hotel.
Day 5: Fly to Gondar
visit the royal compound palace Fasil Ghebbi (Registered as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979), where enchanting 17th century castle stands and Debre Birhan Selassie church meaning ‘Trinity at the mount of Light’ is the most beautiful church in Ethiopia, kings bath, Felasha(Jew) village, and a wonderful evening in the traditional restaurant. Day 6: Addis Ababa Meskel Celebrations(the finding of true cross) sep 27
We will head to see the Meskel celebrations to Meskel Square, where the festivities are take place and thousands of orthodox Christians marching to the square where a ceremonial bonfire is lit.Also the true chanting cermony which shows the devil wegezete(.Overnight hotel or transfer out to departure)
